Andrew J. Houvouras IV is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). A graduate of the Florida State University and Marshall University, he works as a behavior analyst for Brevard County Public Schools and teaches behavior analytic coursework through the Florida Institute of Technology's renowned ABA online program. He believes a science of behavior is both possible and necessary. "We live in exciting times where scientific discoveries abound and present extraordinary possibilities to the ASD community." A father, husband, avid surfer, paddler and athletic coach, he lives in Florida with his family and is beginning his 30th year working with individuals with autism. "What started as an after school job for my brothers and me, working with a young man with autism, has become my career. It's a true labour of love. Everyday, I get to use tools of education, science and empathy to improve the lives of others." A board member of the the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis, an often requested speaker and and an environmentalist, he says, "My life is richer because of the experiences and interactions I have had with individuals with autism. The world is a more unique and better place because of autism."
