David Barber was diagnosed with a learning disability now known as Autism Spectrum Disorder at a very young age and has had social challenges for much of his life. With the support from the Geneva Centre for Autism, he has developed and grown by learning many skills as well as building his confidence. He also volunteered in Toronto Autism Services at the centre which inspired him to apply for the Behavioral Science and Technology course at George Brown College. He will start the program in September 2018. His journey with the support of GCA staff has brought him full circle to his experience public speaking about his story at Symposium.
